The fantastic new multi-purpose building on our school site is well underway. This impressive structure will enable us to provide a much larger, better equipped pre-school/nursery facility to replace the current mobile building.
This joint venture with Community Learning Partnerships will also include a large multi-purpose room that will offer various community services, in addition to after school & breakfast clubs. Eventually we hope holiday care provision will be possible too.
We are hopeful that the building will be completed and ready for use by early 2010.
Greysbrooke Adopts 'Afrika'
We are delighted to report that Greysbrooke has adopted 'Afrika', a baby chimp at the Chimpanzee Sanctuary in Uganda, and look forward to receiving reports on progress over the coming year!
Greysbrooke's Donkey
We continue to adopt ‘Moses’ our donkey, based at the Donkey Sanctuary in Sutton Park. The Elizabeth Svendsen Trust for children and donkeys continues to be very widely recognised for its therapeutic benefits to children with physical and mental disabilities.By continuing to sponsor ‘Moses’ we are contributing towards the costs of the charity which provides riding therapy for children with special needs. We receive twice yearly reports of Moses’ activities and please remember that you are able to visit our donkey (by prior appointment) at his home in Sutton Park.It would be lovely if some of the children were able to give a verbal report to their peers about Moses’ progress.
